Arranging a children's room is not such an easy task as it may seem. At Activity-board.shop, we adhere to Maria Montessori's approach when selecting products for a children's room.This means that all the furniture that we have collected here is not only safe and convenient for parents, but also contributes to the development of independence of the child.
Since all products are designed with child's perspective in mind, they are made in such sizes and designs that a child will be able to use this furniture without the help of an adult.
The Maria Montessori system assumes a greater degree of independence of the child. This also applies to the organization of the children's room space. All the furniture in the nursery should be of such size that the child can independently use it: sit down, lie down, reach out for, hang clothes, etc. Also, the design of furniture in the Montessori nursery should be such that the possibilities and aspirations of the child are not limited:
Montessori beds - a child can climb on them independently;
Open shelves and child friendly storage systems - the elements located on them and in them are always visible and accessible to the child;
Children's tables and chairs - of appropriate sizes, on which and at which the child can sit alone;
Weaning chairs and tables - the child's own furniture for eating, corresponding to kid´s size and needs;
Learning towers is an indispensable assistant not only in the kitchen, but throughout the house;
Baby hangers - the kids will be able to hang clothes on them themselves and choose it every day independently, based on their own desires.
In addition, and we consider this very important, all our products are safe and made of eco materials, primarily wooden. And if paints are used, then these are safe and eco-friendly paints.
